Academic Section of the Institute mainly deals with the Student Admission process for Courses offered by the Institute, conduct of University Semester Examinations as per the academic calender and laison with the University of Mysore (UOM) Mysuru for all matters related to academic such as conduct of Examination, announcement of results and issue of Grade sheets and Degree Certificates to succesful students.

The section also Monitors attendance of the students as per UOM regulations, identitying the eligible students for NCERT Scholarships/Freeship and release of Scholarship & other Merit Scholarships.

1. Admission to various Pre-Service Prgrammes of the Institute

The section initiate the process of advertising for the various pre-service programmes viz. B.Sc.B.Ed, B.A.B.Ed, M.Sc.Ed (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics), B.Ed and M.Ed offered by the Institute during the month of March/April every year. Once the common Entrance Examination (CEE) results are announced, the admission process starts in the month of July and admission to various programmes as per the state quota and category wise of Government of India and completed by the end of July every year.

2. Conduct of Examinations

The section prepares the time table for both Internal Examinations (C1 & C2) and External Examinations (C3). After approval from competent authority, the section announces the dates of examination, collect the application forms and fees and send it to the University of Mysore for providing Hall Tickets.

3. Conduct of Ph.D Programmes

Liaison with UOM in conduct of Course work by the UOM. Arranging pre Registration Seminar/Colloquium by Ph.D students. And arranging pre-Submission Seminar/Colloquium by Ph.D Studnets. Processing Annual Progress Reports of Research Scholars and submitting the same to UOM periodically.

4. Committee Meeting

Collecting required data from the sections/Departments for submission to Affiliation Committee every year for grant of Affiliation to RIEM Programmes by UOM, Mysuru.

5. Scholarship Distribution

NCERT grants Scholarships are awarded to all SC/ST students and 50% of other category students are given. The release of Scholarship is linked to student attendance. The students has to clear all the papers of previous two semesters for continuation of NCERT Scholarships and freeship.

6. Consolidation of Attendance

The student attendance is closely mentioned as per the Course regulations and students are not allowed to write C3 Examinations.

7. Others Activities

Final year Students of all programmes are issued with No Due Certificates, T.Cs, are issued to successful candidates.

Processing & issue of Bus/Railway Concession forms on request by students and any other student requests are met with after due consideration.
